Co-op coffee meetings scheduled for January & February

January 4, 2024Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) invites the community to stop in at one of its upcoming community events, Spark Sessions. The first two sessions are scheduled at San Juan Coffeehouse in Olathe on January 16 and Blue Corn Café & Mercantile in Montrose on January 25. DMEA will also host two Spark Sessions in Delta County on February 6 at Sugar Mamas’ Bakeshop in Cedaredge and February 15 at Sweetgrass in Paonia. All events will take place from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.

“DMEA has big plans in 2024, from significantly expanding Elevate’s fiber network to breaking ground on the Garnet Mesa Solar project. We invite our members to come out, grab a bit to eat, and ask us any questions they might have. We’re here to listen,” said DMEA Chief Executive Officer Jack Johnston.

DMEA will host four Spark Sessions across its service territory to learn about its members’ needs and interests. Community members can drop in anytime during the event for free food and a chance to speak with the co-op’s leadership team and board members. Spark Sessions are open to the public and free of charge. There is no planned agenda or presentation, and members can come and go as needed.

"We're hitting the road to meet members in their own communities, making it easier to get your questions answered. Our team is excited to update you on Elevate's construction plan and our efforts to keep our rates stable. So please, bring your questions – we hope to chat with you," said Johnston.
