2024 DMEA Board of Director Election Results
Delta-Montrose Electric Association’s (DMEA) 2024 Board of Directors Election concluded yesterday, June 7, 2024, with two incumbent candidates retaining their seats for another three-year term. Members re-elected Steve Metheny in District 2. Kevin Williams retained his seat in District 5, running unopposed, and Ryan Sedgeley secured the District 1 seat.
Survey and Ballot Systems conducted the elections and ballot tabulation. The final vote is as follows:
District 1
Ryan Sedgeley – 2,519 votes (58.1%)
Toby Romero Jr. – 1,819 votes (41.9%)
District 2
Ken Norris – 1,232 votes (27.9%)
Jesse Haywood – 1,571 votes (35.6%)
Steve Metheny – 1,605 votes (36.4%)
District 3
Kevin Williams, running unopposed – 3,748 votes (100%)
Of the 30,571 ballots mailed to DMEA members, a total of 4,462 valid member votes were cast for a return rate of 14.6%. Of these votes, 3,061 were submitted by via paper ballot (mail-in, drop off, or in person) and 1,366 were submitted electronically. Only 328 ballots were rejected.
