2024 DMEA Board of Director Nominations

Candidate nomination process
Thank you for your interest in running for DMEA’s Board of Directors! The 2024 nomination period will open Monday, March 4, and close Sunday, April 7, 2024. Before you begin your nomination, here are a few things to do.
- Confirm in which district or region you reside by calling 877-687-3632 or checking the online map here.
- Find or take a headshot that will be used to announce your candidacy and used in official DMEA communications.
- Review the complete list of director qualification requirements in DMEA's Bylaws, Article 4, Section 4.3.
- Mark your calendars for the DMEA Candidate Forums: Wednesday, May 1, 2024, 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. at Cascade Hall at CMU Montrose (hosted by The Forum Montrose); Thursday, May 2, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at TBD (location to be set in Delta County).
- Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 6, 2024, and be sure to attend DMEA's Annual Meeting. The elections will conclude at the meeting.
- Prepare to collect at least 15 DMEA member signatures by compiling your contact list.
- Learn about DMEA's current board members.

Starting March 4, 2024, you can begin your self-nomination for DMEA's 2024 Board of Directors Election. The deadline to complete your petition is Sunday, April 7, 2024.
