From the City of Delta to Backroads, New Elevate Zones Online in 2025

Delta Zones: Legendary Internet is incoming!

The path to better internet in the City of Delta and surrounding areas is yet another step closer this month. Great news—Elevate teams have officially completed fiber network construction in Delta Zones 1, 2 and 3! This means that residents and businesses in the area now have access to Elevate's ultra-fast, gigabit-speed internet.

Delta Zones 4 and 5 are set to go live in mid-April and mid-May, completing the build-out of Delta zones. We are dedicated to making this transition as smooth as possible, maintaining clear communication with residents, and minimizing disruptions during construction.

Reconnect 3 and Capital Projects Fund (CPF) Zones: Coming Online This Year

Community members in Reconnect 3, Phase I (Grandview Mesa) connected to Elevate Fiber on Feb. 25, and the Phase II zones will follow from April to August of 2025. CPF Zones 1-5 will offer connections beginning in the fall of 2025.

We offer a range of speeds, starting at 400 Mbps and going all the way up to an industry-leading 6 Gig. Unlike traditional broadband, fiber provides symmetrical speeds-meaning uploads are as fast as downloads. This is a game-changer for anyone who works from home, streams content, or wants a buffer-free, high-performance connection.

Youth Program Awardees

Each year, DMEA sends one student to Washington, D.C., to the Rural Electric Youth Tour and two students to Steamboat Springs to the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp. Meet this year’s participants:

Jordyn Simo

Montrose High School

Jordyn is an active leader in her community, serving on the Montrose City Youth Council and making meaningful contributions to the Astra Club and Montrose’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). She is also a dedicated member of the Montrose National Honor Society, all while excelling in volleyball and lacrosse.

“I would like to participate in the Youth Tour or Youth Camp because I want to grow as a leader and explore opportunities that can help me decide on my future career path.”

Jacey Wilson

GOAL High School

Jacey is passionate about horses and equine medicine. Jacey transitioned to online high school to expand her opportunities to work as a Human Resources Intern at DMEA, babysitter, and horse trainer while attending school. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

“I’ve learned a lot as an intern at DMEA and I wanted to expand my knowledge of the cooperative world. I want to be an entrepreneur, and I feel this opportunity would help advance my leadership abilities.”

Kacy Stewart

Montrose High School

Kacy is deeply involved in her community, generously volunteering at her church’s coffee shop while also participating in various outreach programs through her church. She is an active member of the Spanish Club, FBLA, and Astra Club, demonstrating her passion for leadership, and service.

"I am interested in the Youth Programs because I believe It's not just about what you learn but the people you meet. I'm eager to develop leadership skills through experience and the guidance of my peers.
